Mia Langford, a gifted art student short on money, draws the attention of her professor, Wesley Winslow, during a class on art philosophy. When he keeps her sketch, an unspoken fascination begins. Her stepmother, eager for wealth and influence, arranges Mia's engagement to Wesley's entitled son, Darius. On a night meant for her fiancé, Mia is drugged and blindfolded, only to end up in Wesley's arms. That mistake binds them in a forbidden entanglement. Darius, jealous and controlling, escalates his obsession, using blackmail and humiliation to keep Mia under his thumb. As rumors spread and her reputation is weaponized, Wesley becomes both her refuge and her greatest contradiction.
