Jade has spent a long time waiting for Spencer to ask her to marry him, so his invitation to meet feels like the moment she has imagined. Instead, when he gets down on one knee, he delivers a devastating surprise: he wants to end their relationship. His choice leaves Jade feeling betrayed, especially after their long time together. Angry and hurt, Jade seeks comfort in a spontaneous encounter with a man she meets at the hospital. The situation becomes far more complicated when she discovers that this stranger is her boss—and Spencer’s father. Then Jade learns she is pregnant with his child. As she faces the consequences of the breakup and the hidden connection between these two men, she must navigate an unexpected romance at work while deciding what to do next.
