Emma Caldwell is devastated after discovering that her fiancé, Derek, has been unfaithful. Hurt and drunk, she turns to August Hughes, her business partner, and asks him to take her home. Their encounter becomes an unexpected one-night stand, but Emma keeps her distance afterward, refusing to explain what drove her to him. August, a CEO known in tabloids as a Casanova, sees the night differently and wants a real connection with Emma. She is already facing the possibility of scandal, especially after someone records her leaving his car. As Emma tries to manage the fallout from Derek’s betrayal and protect herself, August’s pursuit brings their professional partnership and personal choices into conflict.
