After resigning, Hannah travels by train and rents a car, eager to reunite with her fiancé, Cody, in the United States. The excitement falters when she thinks she hears something unusual from Cody’s bedroom. Before she can understand what is happening, a bloodied mob boss is in her car, turning her arrival into a bewildering encounter. The stranger is Alex, whom Hannah accidentally saves with a single kiss while he is escaping. With Cody’s betrayal and abandonment leaving her desperate to stay in the United States, Hannah enters a sudden marriage with Alex. He protects her from her vengeful former fiancé and other threats, while their unfamiliar life together raises questions. As Hannah gets closer to him, she begins to suspect that Alex is far more than the street stranger she first believed.
