Ella Davenport’s relationship with Benson collapses after he cheats with her half-sister, Kristy. Her father cuts off any future between them and arranges for Ella to meet a creep instead, leaving her searching for a way out of the situation he has created. When Ella arrives to sign marriage papers, she discovers that she is already married to Cole McBride, a powerful CEO she does not recognize as her husband. Cole refuses to accept that their marriage is genuine, while his aging grandmother quickly takes to Ella. As the reluctant pair remain tied together, family betrayal, concealed identities, and mistaken assumptions make it difficult to separate fact from deception—or understand what may be growing between them.
