Emily Grace and William Valcor each flee an engagement celebration and land in the same Las Vegas bar. Neither knows the other is connected to the runaway bride or groom they have been trying to escape. As they compare their experiences, an unexpected sense of understanding grows between two strangers who believe they are rejecting the same kind of future. Their families are already searching, while Emily and William raise a toast against marriages arranged for them. The encounter takes an ironic turn when the pair, unaware of each other’s true identities, become bound to one another through a Vegas wedding. With family expectations surrounding them and personal identities kept out of sight, their new marriage begins under a misunderstanding neither is prepared to recognize.
