Lily is a broke college student searching for a temporary secretary position, while her best friend promises that fifty thousand dollars may soon solve her troubles. Her prospects shift when she catches the eye of Damon Blackwood, a feared mafia don surrounded by flirtatious women. A chance encounter in the rain draws the two into a night neither can treat as inconsequential: Damon mistakes Lily for an escort, while Lily is left to face the consequences of his misunderstanding. A month later, Lily learns she is carrying twins, turning an already precarious life into a dangerous struggle. Her drug-addicted brother’s debts place her family under crushing pressure, and her parents decide to sell her to a dealer. Seven months into the pregnancy, Lily’s path crosses Damon’s again, forcing the ruthless man to confront the woman he wronged and the children connected to him. Their collision sets up a romance shaped by money, power, guilt, and Lily’s fight to retain her worth.
