Aria is secretly the sole heiress of America's richest family, yet she enters college posing as a scholarship student. Her mission is to assess her arranged fiancé without revealing who she really is. Instead, she discovers a cruel contest in which wealthy students pursue girls as part of a paid challenge, turning heartbreak into entertainment. Aria soon becomes one of their targets, caught between maintaining her disguise and understanding the people testing her. When the game ends in a public breakup and humiliation, everyone expects the scholarship student to fall apart. Instead, Aria makes one phone call, abruptly shifting the balance of power and placing the players' fortunes, reputations, and futures at risk. Her discreet evaluation becomes a confrontation with those who believed they controlled the rules, while Aria decides how much of her hidden identity to reveal and how far to take her response.
