In Los Angeles, spreading wildfires place added pressure on the complicated bond between Liam and Natalie. Liam works as a firefighter, while Natalie is a novelist, and their marriage began as an agreement rather than a simple expression of love. When misunderstandings and betrayal unsettle their arrangement, both must confront what still connects them. Their history reaches back to a romance that was interrupted, bringing them together again years later under difficult circumstances. Alongside the emotional strain, a secret, murder, and deliberate sabotage deepen the danger around them. As the wildfire crisis intensifies, Liam begins to recognize the depth of his feelings, while Natalie reassesses whether their relationship can survive its painful past and the threats closing in around them.
